FAQ

Every question.
Straight answer.

No fluff, no "contact us to learn more." If you have a question about co-packing with Overgang, it's probably answered here.

Pricing & Minimums
Overgang charges a day rate — not a per-unit rate. A single-flavor run starts at $3,500 per production day. Multi-flavor runs with up to 2 changeovers start at $4,500 per day. You know your cost before you commit. See our full pricing page for every detail.
Our minimum is 2,000 pouches per shift. Most large co-packers require 50,000 units or more before they'll talk to you. We built Overgang specifically for brands that need real production runs in the 2,000–15,000 range.
Day-rate pricing is honest pricing. A production day costs us a certain amount regardless of how many pouches come off the machine — staff, facility, equipment, utilities. Per-unit pricing obscures that reality and makes it easy to hide fees. A flat day rate means you always know exactly what you're paying and why.
If your bulk powder or roll stock doesn't arrive before your scheduled production day, we charge 50% of your booked day rate. We have staff scheduled and a machine reserved — that downtime is a real cost. Ship with tracking, build in buffer time, and communicate with us if there's a delay. We're reasonable people but we have a team to pay.
No. If we have availability, we'll get you on the schedule at the standard day rate. We just need all materials on-site before your run date. Urgency doesn't cost you extra at Overgang.
Yes — and this is one of the things that makes Overgang unusual. If your film size is consistent across SKUs and no allergen cleanout is required between runs, we can run multiple flavors back-to-back in a single day. A two-changeover day runs at $4,500 rather than paying $3,500 per flavor per day. Most co-packers won't do this at all.
Specs & Formats
For sachets, we fill from 9 grams to 90 grams depending on powder density and flow characteristics. For gusset pouches, we can fill up to 500 grams — though maximum fill is limited by pouch width. Confirm your specs with us before booking.
Roll stock sachets run from a minimum of 3"×3" up to 5.5"×9" tall. Zipper pouches run up to 5.5" wide by 9" tall. If your size falls outside these ranges, we'll tell you upfront — not after you've shipped materials.
Horizontal form fill seal (HFFS) is a machine that forms a pouch from roll stock film, doses your powder via auger fill, seals the package, and cuts it to size in one continuous pass. It's the industry standard for precise powder dosing and clean seals at lower fill weights — as low as 9 grams. This is what gives us tight fill weight consistency across your entire run.
Any free-flowing dry powder — protein powders, pre-workout blends, electrolyte mixes, collagen peptides, greens powders, drink mixes, and similar supplement or food formats. If your powder has unusual flow characteristics (very fine, clumping, or hygroscopic), let us know upfront and we'll assess compatibility before you ship anything.
No. Our equipment is purpose-built for dry powder fills only. We cannot run liquids, gels, pastes, or semi-solid products. If that's what you need, we'll tell you upfront so you don't waste time.
It depends on fill weight. Light fills (9–20g) can reach up to 25,000 pouches per day. Medium fills (20–50g) typically run up to 15,000. Heavy fills (50–90g) run around 10,000. For a single flavor we can push up to 24,000 pouches. Actual counts vary based on your specific powder and format — we'll give you a realistic estimate when you submit specs.
No — you supply your own printed or unprinted roll stock film. This keeps your artwork, your branding, and your material sourcing entirely in your control. We'll confirm your roll stock is compatible with our machine when we review your specs.
No. We are a filling and packaging operation. Your product arrives pre-blended and ready to fill. We don't offer ingredient sourcing, formulation, or blending services. If you need a formulator, we can point you in the right direction.
Compliance & Credentials
Yes. Overgang is an FDA registered facility. This is required for supplement and food co-packers serving retail, Amazon, and regulated distribution channels. We can provide documentation for buyer requirements, investor due diligence, and retail onboarding.
For dietary supplements sold in the US, your co-packer should be FDA registered and ideally operating under GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. Many retail buyers, Amazon, and investors will ask for your co-packer's FDA registration as part of their vetting process. Using a non-registered facility creates risk for your brand.
Yes. We can provide documentation of our FDA registration and facility credentials for retail buyers, Amazon onboarding, or investor due diligence. Ask about this when you request a quote.

Three things: your bulk powder (pre-blended, ready to fill), your roll stock film (printed or unprinted), and confirmed specs (pouch size, fill weight, quantity). Everything else — machine setup, calibration, filling, sealing, quality checks, bulk packout — is handled by Overgang.
As soon as you have confirmed specs and materials ready to ship. We don't have a fixed lead time requirement — if we have availability, we'll get you on the schedule. The only hard rule is that all materials must be on-site before your production date.
Standard runs are bulk packout — your finished pouches counted and bagged in bulk. Assembly (placing individual pouches into retail boxes or subscription kits) is available as an add-on for an additional fee. We recommend bulk packout for any brand that hasn't fully proven its channel and SKU mix yet.
Yes. Overgang offers order fulfillment for supplement and food brands — flat pricing, no shipping markup, no tech-platform surcharges. If we're already your co-packer, keeping fulfillment here means your production and shipping are handled by the same team. Learn more about fulfillment →
We are located at 2114 Washington St NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418. We work with brands nationwide — ship us your bulk powder and roll stock and we ship finished goods back to your warehouse or fulfillment center.
Yes. We think of ourselves as a resource, not just a machine operator. We can connect you with local corrugated suppliers for boxes and shippers, and point you toward other vendors you might need as you scale. We want to see your brand succeed — that's the whole model.
About Overgang
Our founders are ecommerce food operators who got burned by PE-backed co-packers that forced large minimums, charged for problems they caused, and had zero interest in making things right when something went wrong. One of our founders lost nearly $250,000 in that process. We built Overgang to be the co-packer we wish we'd had — transparent pricing, real minimums, and genuine investment in your brand's success.
Four things: genuinely low minimums (2,000 pouches), transparent day-rate pricing published on our website, the ability to run multiple flavors in a single day without allergen cleanouts, and a founding team that actually gives a damn whether your brand succeeds. Most co-packers won't publish pricing, won't talk to you under 50,000 units, and treat small brands as a nuisance. We were built for exactly the brands they ignore.
Fractional ownership is modeled on the NetJets concept — you get dedicated production capacity without buying or operating a machine yourself. You commit to 6–30 production days per year. Overgang provides the equipment, operators, facility, and FDA-registered infrastructure. You own a slice of capacity, not a building full of overhead. Inquire via our quote form for details.
